This is our time to meet you and your pet prior to first sitting. There is no cost for this meeting. If we install a lockbox- $25

Holiday Visit

These visits are for all of the above visits or walks during a holiday or holiday period. period. For holiday periods and prices, see our Policies and Procedures. 

Home Security/Water Plants Visit

For those without pets or pets going with them but want someone to check on home, appliances, collect packages, water plants inside or out while away. 

$20.00 per visit.

Trip to Vet

We will take your pet to the Vet and return them home.

Legends Pet Care Service Policies & Procedures

At Legends Pet Care Services, we offer compassionate care for your beloved pets when you're unable to be there. Whether it's during your work hours, vacations, or other engagements, we're dedicated to providing reliable companionship and support for your pets in your absence.

Office Hours: Our regular office hours are from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturdays. Please note that our office is closed on Sundays and all Federal Holidays. However, we continuously monitor emails, voicemails, and texts, even during off-hours. Emergencies are promptly attended to, even when the office is closed, while non-emergency communications will be addressed during regular business hours.

Initial Consultation/Meet & Greet: An essential and complimentary service, the initial consultation is mandatory for all new clients. This meeting allows us to understand your pet's needs better, review service agreements, and complete necessary veterinary release forms. Please allocate a minimum of 20 minutes for this consultation.

Reservation Requests: For pet sitting services requiring multiple visits per day, we recommend scheduling at least two weeks in advance. While we strive to accommodate all requests, bookings made less than two weeks in advance may be subject to availability constraints. Last-minute requests will be considered, but we cannot guarantee availability. During the initial consultation, we'll discuss scheduling, billing, and payment for recurring services. Legends Pet Care Services reserves the right to decline reservation requests.

Cancellation Fees: To mitigate disruptions to our schedule caused by cancellations or last-minute changes, the following fees apply:

  • Pet Sitting (multiple visits per day, vacations, etc):

  • Canceled or changed more than 2 days in advance: No Charge

  • Canceled with less than 2 days’ notice: 50% of the total booking.

  • Daily Recurring Pet Visits (midday dog walks, one day check on pets, etc):

  • Canceled or changed: No charge.

  • Holiday cancellations on all services with less than 7 days’ notice will incur the full rate, including the holiday fee.

Additional Fees:

  • Holiday Fees: Applied to any scheduled service during specific holiday periods.

  • Extra Pet Fee: Added per pet over three pets on all services.

  • Same Day Requested Pet Visits Fee: Applied to visits booked after 4:00 pm the day before or on the day of the visit.

 

Payment: All service fees are due upon receipt of invoice and can be paid via cash, check, or credit/debit card. Checks should be made out to Legends Pet Care Services. Returned checks incur a $35 charge. Invoices for daily recurring visits are issued weekly on Fridays, while vacation visit invoices are issued on the last day of the vacation period.

Unplanned Fees: Clients are responsible for reimbursing Legends Pet Care Services for restocking depleted supplies needed for pet care.

 

Records, Contracts, and Forms: All documentation will be delivered and stored electronically. Pictures taken during visits remain the property of Legends Pet Care Services and may be used for promotional purposes. Client information remains confidential and will not be shared.

 

One Account Per Household: To ensure clarity and efficiency, only one account per household is permitted. All pets requiring services must be listed for insurance purposes.

 

Electronic Reports: Regular updates and photos of your pet will be provided electronically, with frequency depending on the service type.

 

Visitors: Please inform us of any expected visitors during contracted service periods to avoid any confusion.

Other Important Policies:

  • Legends Pet Care Services assumes no responsibility for damage or negligence caused by other parties involved in pet care.

  • Pets must be leashed when outside unless in a physically fenced yard.

  • Owners are responsible for pet-proofing their homes.

  • All policies and procedures are subject to change.

Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to www.legendspet.com, and Legends Pet Care Services, LLC and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Legends Pet Care Services, LLC include www.legendspet.com and Legends Pet Care. The Legends Pet Care website is a information and online booking site. By using the Legends Pet Care website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement. 

  

Collection of your Personal Information 

In order to better provide you with products and services offered, Legends Pet Care may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. To wit, we will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. Legends Pet Care collects and uses your personal information to operate and deliver the services you have requested. 

  

Legends Pet Care may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Legends Pet Care and its affiliates.

Legends Pet Care does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. 

  

Legends Pet Care may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Legends Pet Care, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. 

  

Legends Pet Care may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Legends Pet Care or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Legends Pet Care; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Legends Pet Care, or the public. 

  

Automatically Collected Information 

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by Legends Pet Care. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Legends Pet Care website.

This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information. 

  

Security of your Personal Information 

Legends Pet Care secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Legends Pet Care uses the following methods for this purpose:

As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through this Site cannot be guaranteed. 

  

Right to Deletion 

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will: 

•    Delete your personal information from our records; and 

•    Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records. 

  

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to: 

•    Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you, or reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and us;

Children Under Thirteen 

Legends Pet Care does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website. 

  

Disconnecting your Legends Pet Care Account from Third Party Websites 

You will be able to connect your Legends Pet Care account to third party accounts. BY CONNECTING YOUR LEGENDS PET CARE ACCOUNT TO YOUR THIRD PARTY ACCOUNT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE CONSENTING TO THE CONTINUOUS RELEASE OF INFORMATION ABOUT YOU TO OTHERS (IN ACCORDANCE WITH YOUR PRIVACY SETTINGS ON THOSE THIRD PARTY SITES). IF YOU DO NOT WANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU, INCLUDING PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION, TO BE SHARED IN THIS MANNER, DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE. You may disconnect your account from a third party account at any time. Users may learn how to disconnect their accounts from third-party websites by visiting their "My Account" page. Users may also contact us via email or telephone. 

  

E-mail Communications 

From time to time, Legends Pet Care may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. 

  

If you would like to stop receiving marketing or promotional communications via email from Legends Pet Care, you may opt out of such communications by Customers may unsubscribe from emails by "replying STOP" or "clicking on the UNSUBSCRIBE button.. 

  

Changes to this Statement 

Legends Pet Care reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our website, and/or by updating any privacy information. Your continued use of the website and/or Services available after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Privacy Policy; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.

Lockbox Policy

The lockbox policy of Legends Pet Care Services, LLC requires clients to provide two sets of keys to their residence for reliable service with the least liability. One key will be used by the pet sitter to enter the client's home during scheduled visits, while the other key will be stored in the company's key safe at their office as a backup.

Clients have several options regarding the lockbox:

  1. Purchase their own lockbox: Clients can buy a lockbox with at least a four-digit code that can easily hang from a doorknob or railing, or be wall-mounted. The lockbox does not necessarily have to be placed on the front door; it can be attached to a fence, placed on the back porch, or hidden in another secure location on the client's property. Lockboxes typically cost between $25 and $100 in local stores.

  2. Receive a lockbox from Legends Pet Care Services, LLC: Clients can choose to receive a lockbox from the company, which eliminates the need for them to go out and purchase one themselves. In this case, there will be a $20 installation fee, and the lockbox will be provided during the consultation. The company will explain how to set the code and where to install the lockbox.

  3. Use electronic entry: If clients have an electronic entry system, such as a code on the doorknob or garage door, it is acceptable. However, the company still requires a physical key as an alternate means of entry in case the electronic code fails or the batteries are dead.

The benefits of using a secure lockbox include:

  • Keys are always secured at the client's premises and not in the possession of the pet sitter.

  • If the client moves, they can take the lockbox with them.

  • Pet care personnel will have immediate access to the client's home in case of an emergency.

  • Lockboxes are reinforced to withstand various weather conditions and attempts to break them open.

  • Clients can change the lockbox code whenever they need to.

Lockboxes can be purchased at hardware stores, home goods stores, or retail stores. Clients can also schedule a lockbox installation during the Meet and Greet with the pet care service. The cost of the installation can be added to the cost of the first visit.

It is the client's responsibility to inform Legends Pet Care Services, LLC of any changes to the lockbox code and ensure that the keys are in the lockbox for the pet sitter to use. If the pet sitter arrives and finds no lockbox or key inside, the client will be charged a $20 key pick-up fee at the start of visits.

The company prefers to use lockboxes for several reasons. We believe that the client's key is much safer in a locked box on the client's property than in the pet sitter's car or home. Losing keys is not uncommon among service companies, and various mishaps can occur, such as misplaced or lost keys, a sitter's illness or inability to make an appointment, or the use of multiple sitters. All keys are labeled with a code and do not contain client names or addresses.

Using a lockbox eliminates many potential problems and ensures that a backup pet sitter can be sent in case of emergencies. The lockboxes provided by Legends Pet Care Services, LLC belong to the clients, allowing them to be used for other purposes such as allowing friends and family to access their home or for other service companies working at their home.

Apartments: We can provide a secure “Over-the-door Hanger for the lockbox. You can purchase one yourself or we can provide one at the initial consultation for you with an installation fee of $20.00. We ask clients who live in apartments to hang it from the top of their front door prior to scheduled visits and feel free to bring in the lockbox at the conclusion of our visits.

Lockbox codes will never be shared with anyone outside of Legends Pet Care Services and the owner. If the owner changes the lockbox code and/or location, it is their responsibility to inform Legends Pet Care Services of the changes prior to the first visit.
